Strengthening the Scholar in You

Conducting scholarly research is an important part of your academic journey. As a student, you’ll have access to a vast array of resources to help strengthen your research capabilities and to advance your scholarly work.

Accessing the Walden Library

At Walden, you will have access to more than 28,000 full-text journals in more than 43 databases, and 14,000 electronic books. In addition, Walden students can request articles and copies of book chapters not available in Walden’s fully online library.

Our librarians will help you—by phone and on the Web—to identify, obtain, and evaluate scholarly materials. They also work with you to improve your search skills in the electronic information environment.

The Walden librarians are available to assist you with your research questions, help you find articles in the Walden databases, suggest resources, and formulate search strategies. They also create tutorials you can use to learn more about the Walden library and hold quarterly webinars that can help you improve your searching skills.

Using the Center for Research Support

The Center for Research Support plays an important role in supporting your needs as a scholar-practitioner. The center can help identify potential research grants, provide academic review of research projects, and evaluate ethics compliance.
