Learning Outcomes
In Walden’s B.S. in Instructional Design and Technology program, students are
- Given appropriate scenarios, develop instructional materials and experiences by applying current “best practices” to create learning systems using various media.
- Given an appropriate instructional or learning situation, evaluate the adequacy of the package by applying theories, principles, and research to problem analysis, criterion-referenced measurement, formative and summative evaluation, and long-range planning.
- Given appropriate situations, plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise instructional technology by applying theories, principles, and research to all aspects of the project and management process.
- Given appropriate situations, use processes and resources for learning by applying theories, principles, and research to media utilization, diffusion, implementations, and policy-making.
- Given appropriate learning situations, design conditions for learning by applying principles of instructional systems design and learning theory, message design, instructional strategies, and learner characteristics.
