Transfer Credit for National Board Certified Teachers
Walden University’s College of Education recognizes and rewards National Board Certified teachers or those in the process of earning their certification by offering a transfer of credit agreement. This agreement allows teachers to transfer up to six semester credit hours to several M.S. in Education specializations.
Several M.S. in Education specializations are approved for credit transfer, including
- Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment (Grades K–12)
- Elementary Reading and Literacy (Grades K–6)
- Integrating Technology in the Classroom (Grades 3–12)
- Literacy and Learning in the Content Areas (Grades 6–12)
- Mathematics (Grades 6–8)
- Middle Level Education (Grades 5–8)
- Teacher Leadership (Grades K–12)
Credit is awarded by the American Council on Education’s Center for Lifelong Learning.
